My Minimalist Entryway Featuring The Things I Love

Minimalism Starts with Thrifting
My home decor represents exactly who I am. I achieved this by thrifting and purchasing with intention. I highly suggest doing a little (or a lot of) thrifting for your home decor: flea markets, vintage stores, thrift shops, garage sales, yard sales, Facebook Marketplace, Mercari, etc. However, if you’re having trouble finding certain items, I’ve linked similar ones below to achieve this minimalist entryway look.
The Importance of Buying Home Decor That Represents You
The key to buying home decor is to buy items that represent who you are, and essentially mean something to you. I really like nude female body line art, the Moon, and neutrals. I also like artwork leaning on walls and that sort of “museum” look. I added decorative books on one side of the entryway, and books I’ve actually read on the other. I even placed a few beach rocks I've picked up and added money change to a jewelry trinket. The antique picture frame was the last item I purchased and I feel really completed the look.
Let’s say for example you’re really into your zodiac sign, you can purchase an item or sculpture that represents your sign. If you’re a Libra, you could buy a small vintage style scale . If you’re a Taurus, you could purchase a bull horns sculpture. Just play around until it looks right to the eye, aka “aesthetically pleasing”. Bring some personality to your home decor even if you want to stick to neutrals like I did or other color palettes. The point is to make it organic - make it your own, even if you’re using a Pinterest image as a reference. Don’t forget to measure everything, buy with intention, and have fun!
